Subcommittee 1 on Cast Steels of National Technical Committee 54 on Foundry of Standardization Administration of China(SAC/TC54/SC1) held a national standard audit meeting in Changzhou city, Jiangsu Province, on March 13, 2023, including “Metallographic examination of carbon steel and low alloy steel castings for general engineering and sturctural purposes ”.

The standard of metallographic examination of carbon steels and low alloy steels cast for general engineering and structural purposes is formulated for the first time, drafted by Shenyang Research Institute of Foundry Co.,Ltd.CAM.

The draft standard for examination (DIS) was under heightened scrutiny from committees attending the audit meeting.

At the end of meeting, the national standard passed without objection.
